Samsung has released a software upgrade for the Ace, which is
recommended to be installed. This update includes an upgrade to
Windows Mobile 6.1 and numerous enhancements/corrections. The update
may take up to 15-20 minutes to complete if the system is already
set up. For detailed instructions on how to obtain the update,
see the below instructions
Major highlights are listed below:
- Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 /w AKU 1.0, Build 19202
- Windows Mobile 6.1 includes new features such as Threaded
SMS, Domain Enrollment, and a Sliding Pane feature.
- Several software fixes & enhancements have been applied
to optimize performance. A detailed list of some of these updates

Samsung has offered separate Downloader Tools
based upon different Operating Systems. It is critical
to obtain the correct Downloader otherwise the update
to Windows Mobile 6.1 will be unsuccessful for the SPH-i325.

Samsung has released a separate Downloader Tool to work on the
Windows Vista Operating System. This was required due to the downloader’s
requirement to work with Windows Mobile Device Center.
