How Do I Use Speed Dial On My SGH-A877 (Impression) Phone?

The only traditional speed dial number that functions is number 1 for voicemail. Press on Dial then press and hold down the number 1 key to check your voicemail. However, within the widget bar is a widget called Top Five (Speed Dial) which allows you to quickly place calls to the top five of the contact entries in the Contact Favorites list. In addition, once you have added entries to the Contact Favorites list you can quickly dial them too.

Note: The Top Five Contact Favorites (Speed Dial) must be an active widget

To speed dial the Top Five Contact Favorites follow the steps below:

1. From the standby screen, open the widget bar
2. Drag the Top Five (Speed Dial) widget to the display screen
3. Press on the Contact to move it to the center of the Top Five
4. Press the Contact to place the call

Tip: Drag the Top Five favorites widget to the display screen for quicker dialing (For instructions click here)

Note: If the Contact has multiple phone numbers, the default number is called

To quickly place calls to your Contact Favorites follow the steps below:

1. From the standby screen, press Contacts
2. Press the Contacts drop down arrow, located in the top right corner, then press Favorites
3. Press green phone icon to the right of the desired Contact to place the call
